TeeKeeper (“TeeKeeper”, “we”, “us”) runs a service that amateur golf leagues use to manage rounds, scores, standings, handicaps and dues. This policy explains what we collect about league members and visitors to this site, why, and the choices you have. [Legal entity name and postal address.]
This website
This marketing site has no accounts, no forms, no cookies and no analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, requested page, time and browser type) for security and to keep the site running. Those logs are deleted on a rolling basis.
Information we collect in the app
Information you give us
- Account details: your name and email address, and a profile photo if you add one.
- League details: the leagues and teams you belong to and your role in each.
- Golf details: your handicap index, the scores you or your group enter, and your availability for rounds.
- Messages you send us, such as support emails.
Information from others
- League admins and captains may add you to a league, enter scores for you, set your handicap or mark dues paid.
- Our sign-in provider tells us which email address you signed in with.
- Payment processors tell us whether a payment succeeded, its amount and a reference number.
Information collected automatically
- Basic device and log data, such as IP address, browser or app version and error reports, used to keep the service secure and working.
- If you turn on notifications, a device token so we can send them.
Payments
Dues are paid through the league’s own Stripe or PayPal account (including Venmo through PayPal). Card and bank details go directly to those processors. TeeKeeper never receives or stores full card numbers. Their handling of your information is covered by the Stripe privacy policy and the PayPal privacy statement.
How we use information
- To run the service: score rounds, compute handicaps and standings, and show them to your league.
- To process dues and show payment status to you and your league admins.
- To send the emails and notifications you ask for, such as tee-time reminders and results.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see your information
- Members of your league can see your name, team, scores, standings and handicap for that league.
- League admins can also see your email address, availability and dues status.
- Service providers that help us run TeeKeeper, such as hosting, sign-in, email and payment processing, under contracts that limit what they can do with it.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active. League results stay with the league’s history after a season ends. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within [30] days, except where we must keep records for legal, tax or payment reasons.
Your choices
- Download a copy of your data from your account settings.
- Correct your profile at any time, or ask your league admin to correct league details.
- Delete your account from your account settings.
- Turn notifications and emails on or off in your settings.
Depending on your state, you may have more rights, such as knowing what we collect or asking us to delete it. Email us to use them. We will not treat you differently for doing so.
Children
TeeKeeper is meant for adult leagues and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has an account, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and audit logs to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be accessed without permission.
Changes to this policy
We will post changes here and update the effective date. For significant changes, we will also email account holders.
