These terms are an agreement between you and [legal entity name] (“TeeKeeper”, “we”, “us”) for using the TeeKeeper app and website. By creating an account or using TeeKeeper, you agree to them. If you set up a league, you also agree to them on behalf of that league.
The service
TeeKeeper helps amateur golf leagues schedule rounds, record scores, compute modified Stableford points, handicaps and standings, and collect dues. It is free while in beta. We may change, add or remove features, and we will give reasonable notice before any change that would cost you money.
Accounts
- You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
- Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Give accurate information, including your name and handicap details.
Leagues and admins
- League admins decide who joins their league, set its rules, point table and dues, and can enter or correct scores. They are responsible for running their league fairly and for how they use members’ information.
- Handicaps in TeeKeeper are league handicaps computed from your league’s own formula. They are not official USGA or GHIN handicap indexes.
- Results and standings are only as accurate as the scores entered. Disputes are for the league to settle.
Dues and payments
- Online dues are paid to the league’s own Stripe or PayPal account. The league, not TeeKeeper, is the seller of any dues or fees, and refunds are the league’s decision.
- Payments are also subject to the terms of Stripe or PayPal. Their processing fees apply.
- TeeKeeper does not hold league funds and does not store card numbers.
- Payments marked paid by hand, such as cash or checks, are recorded by league admins.
Acceptable use
Do not use TeeKeeper to:
- break the law or anyone else’s rights;
- harass other members or post content that is abusive or misleading;
- access accounts or leagues you are not part of, or probe or disrupt the service;
- send spam or collect other members’ information for purposes unrelated to your league.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you add, such as scores, announcements and your profile photo. You give us permission to store, process and display it to run the service for you and your league.
Privacy
How we handle personal information is described in the privacy policy.
Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with notice where reasonable.
Disclaimers
TeeKeeper is provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error free.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, TeeKeeper will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [state], without regard to its conflict of law rules.
Changes to these terms
We will post changes here and update the effective date. For significant changes, we will email account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use TeeKeeper after that means you accept the new terms.
